About Us

Our Story
Our sub-branch is the result of a proud partnership that unites the histories and strengths of three communities: Coogee, Randwick, and Clovelly. Established in 2014, our journey began when members of Clovelly and Randwick–Coogee RSL sub-Branches joined forces to create a unified, enduring presence dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.

The idea to merge emerged in 2013, as Clovelly sub-Branch sought a new home after the sale of their building. Coogee Diggers Club stepped forward, generously offering its premises for our combined sub-branch’s new office. With enthusiastic support from both memberships and approval from the RSL State Council, the Combined Coogee Randwick Clovelly RSL sub-Branch officially began on January 1, 2014.

Today, our sub-branch proudly serves 140 members, including Service members, Affiliates, and Life Subscribers. Each of these members is part of a tradition that goes back decades—our roots include the original Coogee–Randwick RSL sub-Branch, founded in 1928, and Clovelly RSL sub-Branch, established in the 1940s. Though both branches relocated over the years, their legacies remain embedded in the communities they served.

We continue this mission with dedication, based at the historic Coogee Diggers Club, and we remain committed to honoring and supporting our local veterans and their families for generations to come.
